Edificio de Osakidetza
El edificio de Osakidetza, sede del Servicio Vasco de Salud, se encuentra junto al Azkuna Zentroa, en pleno corazón de Bilbao, y destaca por su arquitectura contemporánea y sostenible. Su aspecto moderno, con una envolvente de vidrio irregular y tonos metálicos, contrasta con la fachada clásica de la antigua Alhóndiga, creando un diálogo visual entre el pasado y el presente de la ciudad.

Inaugurado en 2008 y diseñado por el estudio Coll-Barreu Arquitectos, el edificio es un ejemplo sobresaliente de la nueva arquitectura bilbaína, caracterizada por la innovación, la transparencia y el respeto al entorno urbano. Su estructura facetada de vidrio refleja la luz, el cielo y los edificios cercanos, haciendo que el aspecto del edificio cambie a lo largo del día según la posición del sol.

The Osakidetza Building, headquarters of the Basque Health Service, is located next to Azkuna Zentroa, in the very heart of Bilbao, and stands out for its contemporary and sustainable architecture. Its modern appearance —with an irregular glass façade and metallic tones— contrasts beautifully with the classical exterior of the former Alhóndiga, creating a visual dialogue between the city’s past and present.
